The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, accompanied by his colleagues, during the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), met the Deputy Chief Economist of the WB, Mr. Ayhan Kose.

Governor Ismaili, during this meeting, informed Mr. Kose about the current affairs of the financial sector, the sustainability of the sector and the reforms undertaken by the CBK for the advancement of the legal and regulatory framework in order to increase financial stability and sustainability, digitization, and the expansion of financial inclusion.

Aspects related to publications and research related to the economy and the financial sector were discussed, with an emphasis on sectoral analysis that can contribute to data-based decision-making. In this regard, the possibilities for joint work in examining issues according to the respective areas of responsibility will be examined.

Governor Ismaili also thanked Mr. Kose for the continued support of the WB to the CBK and expressed his willingness to be involved in projects that contribute to the increase of human capacities in special profiles and necessary for the financial sector.
